Purpose Statement
Truth for Women believes our greatest joy in living each day will be found as we live according to God’s plan and purpose. We seek to build community among women in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania from every social, cultural, and or denominational background. A community where strengths, resources, and information are shared that will help us understand and fulfill God’s purpose for us as women. Truth for women ~ found only in the Word of God!

In the Bible, God tells us that His Word alone is Truth. God Himself wants us to know the Truth about the life He longs for us to have. As an interdenominational organization, God has called Truth for Women to provide, promote, and present women with opportunities to grow in true knowledge of Him. How? Through conferences, seminars, special events, church networking, and our website.

Doctrinal Statement
Truth for Women’s doctrinal statement summarizes biblical truth that historically and doctrinally has been regarded as essential to the Christian faith. This Doctrinal Statement is the common ground on which we ask our leaders, workers, speakers and those networking with us to stand. Disagreement over doctrines not mentioned here are accepted without breaking fellowship.

It is Truth for Women's desire to have our community come to the state of maturity whereby we can listen to one another, disagree, and still continue in fellowship on the fundamentals of our faith. When we talk about disagreeing, we are talking about not referring to disagreement on the basic fundamentals of faith to which every child of God automatically adheres, but rather we are referring to doctrines or interpretations that do no injustice to the primary tenets of Christianity. We encourage every woman to individually persevere and listen to the Spirit of God.

May each of us retain the standard of sound words. May we never wrangle about words, which is useless and leads to the ruin of hearers, but may each of us be diligent to present ourselves approved to God, without shame, handling accurately the Word of Truth..
2 Timothy 1:13; 2:14-15

  • The Scriptures: We believe that all Scripture is given by inspiration of God. (2 Timothy 3:16). And that both the Old and New Testaments are inerrant in the original writings and are the supreme and final authority for faith and life.
  • The Godhead: We believe the Godhead exists in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three persons are one God, having precisely the same nature, attributes and perfections.
  • The Lord Jesus Christ: We believe in His eternal existence as God; His incarnation and Virgin Birth; His death on the cross as the substitutionary atonement for sin; His literal, bodily resurrection from the dead; His present ministry of intercession in heaven; and His personal, future return to earth.
  • The Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Godhead, convicts men of sin, regenerates, baptizes, indwells, seals and sets apart believers unto a holy life, that He keeps and empowers believers day by day, that He is the Teacher of the Word of God and the Guide for daily living.
  • Man: We believe that man was created innocent and pure and Adam fell through the sin of disobedience. Therefore, all men are corrupted in body, soul and spirit; and all men need redemption.
  • Salvation: We believe that salvation is by grace, a free gift of God apart from works; salvation involves repentance, a turning from one’s own way to God’s way; salvation is through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; all who receive Jesus Christ are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and become the children of God, and true salvation will be manifested by a changed life.
  • The Church: We believe in the building up of the local church, which is the body of Christ, by serving responsibly and wholeheartedly. Using the spiritual gift(s) that we possess and our talents to spur one another on in our walks with Jesus Christ who is the head of the church.
  • The Future: We believe in the personal, visible, bodily return of Jesus Christ to earth; in the bodily resurrection of the Just to eternal abode in the glory of God’s presence, and in the bodily resurrection of the unjust to judgment and everlasting punishment in the lake of fire.
