The Truth Home is a therapeutic residential home offering dramatically changed lives and hope-filled futures to survivors of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation. The home offers a safe place where motivated women who want an opportunity to rebuild their lives. The home provides a warm, family setting for women in an intensive therapeutic environment.
It connects a caring community with women seeking a way out of unhealthy lifestyles, promoting healing, wholeness, independence, and family reunification through Biblical principles. Our program deals with the serious issues participants face in a holistic way, focusing on the entire person – body, soul and spirit.
The home consists of six phases. The first five phases take place in an intensive home-like therapeutic environment. Women participate in a structured 24-hour supervised schedule of classes, therapy, and activities focused around a holistic treatment model. The last phase begins as a participant moves into a transitional living situation and continues with supportive services.
The Truth Home not only impacts the women who enter the program but it extends into the community in several ways. Because we are not only working with victims of trafficking and sexual exploitation but we are also training our community in awareness, education and prevention on this crime, the impact transcends the individual and impacts the community. As we train the community in the various aspects of sex trafficking, the community embraces the survivors within the residential home to help assist in their recovery through life skills training, life enrichment classes, job skills, mentoring, coaching and healthy lifestyle.
