Create With Us
Love. Create. Heal.
Bloom Bangor is a community empowering women to live free from addiction and violence.
Women who have survived trafficking, trauma, and addiction deserve a second chance at life!
Our program launched in early 2016 and is modeled after the successful Thistle Farms Nashville Program that was founded in 1997. The programs are designed not just to help a subculture of women, but to help change the culture itself. The organizations stand in solidarity with women who are recovering from sexual abuse, violence, and life on the streets, and who have paid dearly for a culture that buys and sells women like commodities.
Bloom Creative Studio is a program of Bloom, a local community-based non-profit organization serving women living in the Lehigh Valley and beyond. We believe art heals and that everyone deserves a chance to start over.
Our Studio is a supportive workplace for women leaving lives of addiction and violence. They receive 2 years of rent-free housing while they heal from the trauma life on the streets brings. When a woman enters our program she begins a 90-day intensive outpatient recovery program and then continues to build a life free from addiction and violence, with trauma informed and art therapy, life coaching and vocational training. Bloom graduates go on to live successful, self-sufficient and fulfilling lives, creating a new future for themselves, their families, our community and our economy.
Update as of 10/30/20
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 and decreased business, we are temporarily opening the studio by appointment only. Please contact us via the website by submitting a Private Party Deposit, by phone at (610) 588-4775, email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or Facebook if you would like to schedule an event. We look forward to re-opening at full capacity soon. Take care and stay safe.
Parties To Go
Bloom Bangor’s programs advocate living gracefully in community with one another. New residents are given a key and are offered the necessary resources to maintain recovery, heal from childhood wounds, become physically healthy and find employment. Residents, graduates, staff and volunteers share daily tasks, offer hospitality, build upon each other’s strengths, and provide compassionate, disciplined support.
You help a vulnerable woman start over when you attend an event or make a purchase at our social enterprise, Bloom Creative Studio. See what’s happening and sign up for an upcoming workshop or paint party. We also welcome and greatly appreciate your financial gifts. Support us financially via our secure online donation page. All gifts are 100% tax-deductible.

In Loving Memory
of Katie Renner
Katie loved Jesus and lived her faith by serving God and loving others well. She treasured her precious family and never missed an opportunity to welcome and love a stranger. She enthusiastically gave her time, talent and treasure so that others would know Jesus saves and sacrificed His life so that others could live.
To honor her memory and passion for serving God, her children have established a memorial fund at Bloom that will be used to help some of the most vulnerable women in our communities. We are calling this fund, “Katie’s Place” — it will be a sanctuary of healing for women survivors of trauma and addiction. Donations will be used to secure safety and expand opportunities for women survivors to experience the love of God in a residential setting at no cost to them.

Here are the words of her granddaughter, Julia:
Grandma Katie knew each and everyday was a day the Lord had made and she rejoiced and was glad in it. Every day a gift, every place a mission field, every person a treasure to her.
The future feels so sad without her in it, and I find comfort that she is at home with the source of all of her joy, sweet, sweet, Jesus.
